To all my Toastmaster friends,
Please the open attachment for details concerning the Feb. 2nd meeting. We have several opening including speaking roles. If you have not given a speech recently, please consider giving one at our next meeting.
Fun times are near. It’s time to start thinking about the club speech contest. This is great opportunity to show case your Toastmaster skills.
The Feb. 16 meeting will be our club speech contest . The International & Table Topic Speech Contests are very different. The International Speech is 5-7 minutes long and is a prepared speech. To qualify as a contestant for the International Speech Contest you must have completed 6 or more manual speeches. Unlike the International Speech, the Table Topic Speech is not a prepared speech. All Table Topic speech contestants will be given the same topic to formulate and deliver their speech. For both contests, I will send more details later.
Please consider being a speaker or helping with the contest. You can receive credit in your CL manual for helping with the speech contest on February 16th.

Holiday Theme for Next Meeting!

We had an impressive & fun filled meeting with five great speeches. I can not wait for the next meeting. The theme for the next meeting is Holiday Movies.

Mark Your Calendars! The N3 & N4 Area Toastmasters Leadership Institute is scheduled for 9:00 AM -12:00 Noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at a location in Menomonie. Save the date and John and I will provide details by next meeting.

Meeting Location Change!

Good evening fellow Toastmasters!

It has become necessary to relocate the meetings of Chippewa Valley Toastmasters, so (yeah I know, but I think it’s okay if I write “so” and don’t say it out loud)…all future meetings (beginning with the Area Contest on September 15th) will be held at:

Globe University (4955 Bullis Farm Road, EC 54701)

Directions: from I-94, take exit 70 to US 53 North toward Eau Claire. Take exit 85 and turn right on Golf Road. Turn right again at Gateway Drive, and take another right at Keystone Crossing. Then take the first left onto Bullis Farm Road. Follow until you reach our campus.

There will be further details coming in the near future (including a walk through with interested members prior to our next meeting), but we’re all really excited about this (no cost) opportunity and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Globe in the days to come.
